How to use this guide
Start with
Identify the audience, publication state, owner, dates, and data that may safely be made public.
By the end
The tool has a clear lifecycle from draft through operation to closure, with public exposure deliberately controlled.
Draft, running, and closed
A fundraiser begins as Draft, becomes Running when ready for public participation, and ends Closed. Unit members can read campaign progress; Can manage fundraisers controls creation and mutation.
The campaign stores its goal and purpose while financial totals are calculated from contribution rows rather than maintained as a second counter.
Participants
Cadets or teams may be added to the drive so contributions can be attributed and per-participant signs can be generated.
Removing a participant does not silently rewrite contribution history; review existing rows before changing the participant list.
Pledged and collected
Every contribution row records the amount, attribution, contributor details where provided, and whether the money is pledged or collected. The detail page totals each state and shows progress against the goal.
Manual entries and pledges created from public QR pages land in the same table.
Printable QR signs
| Format | Use |
|---|---|
| Poster | One large sign for a common area. |
| Cards | Multiple cut-apart cards per printed sheet. |
| One per Cadet | A personalized link for each participant. |
Public giving page
The public page shows the unit, campaign purpose, progress, and amount choices. Name, email, and message are optional so a pledge does not require an All Cadets account.
The page receives only the limited campaign projection needed to render and record the contribution.
Closing the campaign
Close the fundraiser when public participation ends. Reconcile pledged versus collected rows before treating the displayed collected total as final.
Printed signs should be removed or replaced because a closed campaign no longer accepts the same public flow.
