Month and agenda views

Month view provides date navigation, a Today control, and direct selection of events. Agenda view presents the same event collection as a chronological list.

Every signed-in member can read the unit calendar. Selecting an event without edit authority opens a read-only detail view.

Who can manage events

Instructors can create, edit, and delete events. A Cadet position with Can manage the calendar receives the same event-management surface.

The permission is attached to the position, so calendar responsibility can move with an operations billet.

Private calendar subscription

Each unit has a private ICS address that Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and other RFC 5545 clients can subscribe to. New and changed events flow out without each member connecting an external account.

The URL contains a bearer token. Anyone with the address can fetch the feed, so handle it like a secret link rather than a public webpage.

Reset a shared feed

An instructor can rotate the feed token when its address has been forwarded too widely. Rotation invalidates the old link for every subscriber.

After rotation, distribute the new address and update external calendar subscriptions. Cadets may retrieve the active link but cannot rotate it.

Time behavior

The feed exports event dates in the unit’s intended local interpretation. All-day event end dates are exclusive as required by the calendar standard.

External clients decide their own refresh interval, so a newly changed event may not appear instantly outside All Cadets.
