The design and the month are separate

A saved design is a reusable layout. The selected month and its live events are bound into that layout, so one design can be assigned to multiple months.

Opening Design & print from Calendar carries the month in the URL. Back, reload, and shared links therefore keep the intended month.

Start from a template or reuse a prior month

A unit with no saved designs is offered templates. When the selected month has no assigned design, the editor opens the most recent design as a preview of the reuse case without writing anything.

Use the explicit Apply to month action to create the assignment.

Work on the Studio canvas

  • Add and position the month title, month grid, text, shapes, and images.
  • Use drag, resize, alignment guides, layers, zoom, and in-place editing.
  • Undo and redo stay with the open document.
  • Uploaded images become part of the saved design.
  • Save marks the current document version as the unit’s source.

Manage designs

Designs can be named, duplicated, assigned to a month, or deleted. A dirty design is not silently swapped when moving between months.

Cadets without calendar-management permission can inspect and export but cannot alter the unit’s source design.

Print and PDF output

The PDF exporter draws the same document model used on screen and includes the All Cadets generated stamp. Multi-element geometry, fonts, images, and the live event binding are resolved for the selected month.

Review the page count and month before exporting; the designer is deliberately capable of reusing a layout with another month’s data.
